Willowbank School

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

In today’s learning environment, self-directed learners are provided with opportunities to take increasingly more responsibility for their learning.   Students are able to select their choice of learning style and tool within their flexible learning environment and from a range of learning tools.

Our furniture in the Year 5 and 6 classrooms reflects the modern learning needs of our students.  Students in Years 5 and 6 are  able to bring a learning device to school once their agreements are completed and signed.

Important information for you to know:

  • BYOD is not compulsory.
  • Any digital device can be used (SIM cards must be removed from phone devices.
  • Digital devices will be used for research and google documents.
  • Digital devices will not be shared.
  • Digital devices must be covered by home/personal insurance (the school takes no responsibility for damaged, lost or stolen devices).
  • There will be times/days where the digital devices are not used or are used for short periods of time.
  • The ‘Digital Devices as a Learning Tool’ and ‘Digital Citizenship Student Use Agreement’ must be returned at least two working days prior to your child bringing their digital device to school.
  • Children must provide a combination lock to secure their personal locker.
